West Texas | We try to till as little as possible but for peanuts we have to deep break.
10 years ago we had 12 tractors running pretty much all the time. Around 1500 hrs a year was normal and a lot of times more.
Now we still have 9 but only 2 or 3 still get 1200 hrs a year. The rest only about 7-800 and some less. And we farm more acres. But with the min-tillage it sure helps cut the hrs ran.
Now the sp sprayer gets the most hrs. Of course it took the place of 3 tractor mounted sprayers. | |
