To make the chain harrow work properly, you need to have a depth stop on the hydraulic cylinder that raises and lowers the harrow. Lower the harrow until it touches the ground a little, and set the depth stop. You will have to experiment with it a little to get it set for your conditions. Usually, the front and the back of the harrow do not touch the soil completely, and the middle hangs down and gives the soil a good "sandpaper" effect.

We used ours primarily in the Spring after Fall chisel.

Works great.
