I have a 2007 Chevy 4x4 extended cab with 98k and it gets 14.2 overall. It has a 5.3??? Engine. Don't see anything to brag about in an Eco engine.

Mileage means nothing unless you are doing a side by side in the same conditions. My wife drives the speed limit, long trips, and her 5.3 does almost 20. All I have to do is sit in it and the mileage will drop to 15. If I was using it around the farm 12-14 might be average.

If 14.2 is overall mileage including idling around farms, idling to keep the dog cool/warm while I'm out working on something, mixed with highway driving at 75 mph with a headwind, then 14 might be pretty good. Couple farms here switched all the worker pickups from 5.3's to EcoBoosts a couple years ago, they are real pleased with them, and they watch the costs.
