South Eastern ,ILL | I don't know how many more there are like me. We've pretty well
adapted to new technology on our farm. Auto steer, computer on
grain dryer, pro 700, FM 1000 & 2600 Deere screens, sprayer swath control, boom height & so on, but when it
comes to a planter, I want simple , easy to fix & and not so dependant
on a dealer service to keep me rolling, at this time of the year a two minute break down is to long.
Our Kinze 3600's IMO are
just about bullet proof. Don't get me wrong if your patients level
allows it ,(and I admit, changing population on the go would be nice & row shut off's) go for it.
But I like the feeling,
if the planter malfunctions ( hardly ever),
I can fix it myself. Call me old fashion .So no change for me, comfortable where we're at.
