You will probably be happy with your seed savings and improved stands (I still do not believe that a bean in a 15 inch row will grow better or emerge better for any reason), but I do believe you will give up top end yeilds going to the wider row spacing given equivalent populations. In 7.5 inch rows I aim for 165,000, most of my neighbors in 15's are going for 180,000. I believe there is benifit to getting those plants spaced farther apart, I think it makes for a healthier individual bean plant.
