The p.s. trannys had some quirks. I owned a 4020 PS for over 20 years & with it you had to use the brakes to stop or to sit still, after you pushed the dump valve (clutch) in. It would also stall at times when going from a reverse gear to 1-3 but if you went to 4th it never did it. Did that for 10 years or better.

The ps are good fo, loader work, mowing & light tillage but do take a lot of power to operate. Downside is they are very expensive to work on.
