Subject: RE: TSR Fine Cut Straw Choppers

We have run a TSR Fine Cut Chopper for 3 seasons and have been very happy with it. It really shines in tough-stemmed soybeans. Some of the pros over the original chopper are: finer cut straw (obvious), wider spread pattern, seems to be heavier built, not a noticeable increase in power usage, easier tillage post harvest. Some of the cons are: more maintenance (knives don't seem to last as long on any fine cut chopper), I stongly recommend running the chopper in slow speed while harvesting corn. The cobs can be a little tough on things. Overall we have been very happy with our chopper and would strongly recommend buying one.
