That type of fire on an older CIH AF is not that uncommon, even in things other than peas if your not careful. Saw a 1470 the other day that set the wheat field on fire before it finally burned up the left rear end of the combine. Combine is beached and salvage material now. Some years pea dust can be a real bear for fires. Use an air compressor and keep all the hot spots blown clean. And as you say the JD's have their issues too.
