west central Iowa		This is a farm show magazine idea, so take it for what it s worth. I think the guy said he taped the open end of a styrofoam cup to a 3 or 4 foot long piece of pvc pipe that was about the same diameter as the open end of the cup. Then he taped the end of a stethoscope to the bottom of the cup and walked along and put the open end of the pipe on the ground once in a while and listened. He said the closer he got to the leak the louder it got and right by the leak it sounded like a river running.
