it's a 12kw pre made panel from menards. boiler alone was $590. the rec did a heat loss calculation and said i needed a 10kw. i oversized it for very little more. it keeps up good and if i am in working it doesn't run very much. i got a meter from buster50 to keep track of usage. december heating cost was $140. i would think you could just get a larger electric boiler to replace the 7.5kw one. probably cheaper than another heating system and all that goes with it.
