Subject: Highly critical Pickup truck audio/naviagation

I have a 2001 F350 that I stuck a used 'top of the line at one time' pioneer radio/navigation/touch screen/cd/handsfree phone/etc system in with the stock speakers. Generally cars/trucks these days have sound systems in the 'good enough' range even for an 80's make my own car stereo setup guy. The ford came without a working radio so something needed to be done. The pioneer is ok, but it's one of the earlier touch screens and is pretty 'tinny' sounding. This could be just the stock speakers, but my years ago experience with pioneer was similar (I liked alpine, sound stream, etc back then). I'm thinking about starting over and doing the whole thing 'right' (or at least get it to 'good enough')

For anyone who has 'upgraded' what did you find is a good value for speakers, sub (ya I know, but maybe I'll start liking rap) and head unit (double din) with navigation? thanks
