I was through your area Saturday. I went to Iola to pickup a rowheader. All the corn from there down to Independence on 169 was really stressing. Some wasnt tasselled and some was at brown silk, but it all needed rain.
I was surprised that every wheat stubble field we saw was planted back to something, I assumed beans.
Big Ed's in Thayer makes a darn good steak.
