Subject: Case IH 1240 Planter No Till

So. IL
New to us planter this year, and am having some no till issues I can't seam to correct. We are trying to notill into wheat stubble, and my first problem is that its wanting to shove the seed trench full of straw, and not cut through it. The straw is dry, ground is on the damp, but firm side. What am I doing wrong and why won't it cut through the straw? The seed depth is ranging from laying on top(where it can't cut the straw), to 1.5 inches deep(bare ground areas). I have tried the air presure at 40-50-60, with no change, back press wheels set on 7. My next problem is where I can get it in the ground, its leaving a seed trench that is a open V, and not closing it. I can walk the field and see the beans in the ground, the wheels are not closing it back. Any suggestions? At this point im less than thrilled with this planter. It works great in worked ground, but I need it to no till as well. Thanks
