Macon, IL | Amazing what 6 people can do. We covered about 30 acres. Labor=$300-99% eradication of marestail. Don't think there is any chemical program that would work and for $10 an acre I think it was a pretty good deal. The kids actually enjoyed it-couple of them had never walked beans before. Caught a nice cool day but we were all pretty whipped.
New farm-didn't want to leave a bunch of weeds along road and around buildings.
Wish I had time to do more.
Edit: Unexpected benefit is good family talk time and seeing how your kids interact with others.
