Subject: CIDR heifer program

Western Nebraska
First time messing with ai-ing heifers in quite some time. Neighbor being the arm man. We put the cidr's in last Sunday. One out of 37 needed armed (palpated) to straighten out a twist to get cidr in. Today she prolapsed rectally. Vet said if she is straining hard on Tuesday when we breed, to just cull from program at that time.

Is this normal/expected to have 750lb yearling heifer prolapse due to the above? Next time we put cidr's in and one is not straight, should a person just cull at that point?
Thanks
Craig
