I will say though total China imports were reduced from the initial USDA S&D estimates to the final, but every time they were reduced less than the world ending stocks were reduced. So I guess in a roundabout way China demand was reduced but they never had actually bought the physical beans to cancel, USDA just overestimated their initial demand.
