south central IOWA | I figured we probably were driving by plenty of agtalkers close off the interstate. Should of taken a day to stop by places but didn't.
What is the stocking rate there? You don't see too many fences but you would only see about 20-30 pairs in what I would assume would be a section (maybe more?). Sometimes it might only be about 10. Maybe some of the cattle go off on their own away from the rest of the herd? It looked like it might be a full days job just to go check your cows. Hopefully there were some roads over the hills I couldn't see because it sure didn't seem to be many of those either. A person doesn't realize how big it is out west until you see it for yourself when you've been sheltered in Iowa your whole life. :)
