Listening to a radio interview with a grde 12 student about her recent win at an international science fair.
Was impressed with her ability to explain herself and discuss things with the interviewer so paid more attention and then got hooked on what this young lady has done and expects to do.
Her project involves a new inexpensive remedy for malaria.
Our future is in good hands if we have young people with her understanding of science and open mind to find remedies from a discussion with someone about a weed.
Can not find an interview with her but here is a short article from her hometown newspaper http://www.woodstocksentinelreview.com/2013/03/25/olympics-of-science
Mark the name Jessie MacAlpine down to see where it pops up in the future.
