West Central Wisconsin | I've made several trips to the walk-in clinic for an impacted ear. Every time they use the large syringe and warm water and all but the last time it has worked for me. I've done it myself at home with a syringe from the barn, (new), and have had good luck. I went in two months ago and eventually had to go to an ears, nose and throat specialist who vacummed it out. As Ron mentioned above, I also had a fungus and was basically given athletes foot drops. I had gotten some dirt in my ear from working underneath the planter and the dr. figured some of the soil may have held the fungus. My hearing was affected for a few weeks after the visit. What ever you do DON'T keep pushing it in with a Q-tip or your fingers. Try a syringe with warm water and if that doesn't work go to the clinic. Your hearing is at stake here! Joe
The ear dr. told me of a 50/50 mix of rubbing alcohol and vinegar. Joe
