S.C. Wisconsin | I bought some land some 11 years ago and had it surveyed and a tree line separated my land from a neighbors. It ended up that I owned the whole tree line plus about 2 ft of his land. I don't think they realized it as they cut a nice pin oak tree off of my land for firewood. I just informed him in a friendly way the tree came from my property, but I wasn't going to cause any problems with my neighbor over a tree. Then I inform him that he would have to pay me rent on the 2 ft of land, all in joking. We get along good and want to keep it that way. But sometimes you just have to inform people where the lines are. | |
