on my FM-750, there is a setting to adjust the population reading by a certain percentage. It's in the same setup area as the other monitoring functions (alarms, delays, thresholds, etc.)
I'm assuming the FMX probably has the same setting somewhere in there. I had to lower mine by 7% yesterday because it was reading higher than what I was actually planting.
