| Omar - 5/18/2013 05:31 What you say is mostly true except talking about being limited to one window per screen. That's only for the handful of apps that I doubt you will even use. Right, but the whole point is to use Windows Metro/RT apps and get rid of the legacy code in order to eventually have a lean fast code, it's a complete rewriting of Windows. Windows RT apps are much more efficient than traditional Desktop apps, and easier to write too. These apps are not minor, there's Office, Windows Media Player, Internet Explorer, and all third party apps you bought and that will eventually be replaced by Metro apps. Didn't have to be limited to one full screen app (or two, splitting the screen vertically), an app that is not even a window and that you can't obtain outside the Microsoft Store. I doubt you always used apps full screen, even if that's the majority of how you work. But now we don't even have that choice. If I am being forced into the Desktop mode, that's a sign something is not working. I'd rather use the new interface if I bought it. Oh well, I don't want to fight about it, I am already speaking with my wallet. |
