Subject: Random internet data storage philosophical question

Texas/New Mexico Stateline
Being as the internet is basically in it's young adult stage (I consider it about 20 years old or so), I always am wondering what it will be like in another 20 years, or 50 years for that matter.

For the past 4-5 years I have been trying to save every scrap of information I want to preserve indefinitely on the internet. I.e. Dropbox, Picasa web albums, youtube.

All my records are now backed up in Dropbox, pictures are either on picasa, or snapfish, family videos are stored as "private" on Youtube.

I guess I just wonder, say really long term, over 50 years, what is the likelihood of my info being lost, transferred out of my control, etc.?? I know it is safer than on a DVD disk or flash drive here at the house. It just seems interesting to me that my data is on some servers in some random server farm somewhere. And by the way, where are they? I've always wondered.

Say when the Chinese invade in 2055, and censor the internet, will I still have access to my Youtube account? Or will there even still be Youtube in 2055?

Something to wonder about I guess.
