| A few years ago (or maybe just 1 I can't remember now) I posted about finding work from home opportunities while having a husband who farmed fulltime. Honestly it became pretty ugly. But I wanted to update anyway.
However..... now that it is God's timing that is exactly what I will be doing once school is out on May 29th!!!
My husband had a call in January about a job opportunity and the company is willing to work with his summer farming schedule. While he wasn't looking for a job, he took the position and honestly is very happy. We have been working to pay off debt (I will get paid through the summer from my teaching position) so everything should be ready this fall when our 4th child arrives.
I will be continuing to crop scout and pull soil samples seasonally. Mostly I will be taking over the farm books, working on the house, helping my husband run for parts or even tasks related to his job (yes the company ok'd it) and caring for our 4 kids.
You can still call us crazy for whatever you want. But we are happy, he is still farming, and will hopefully be getting a lot more good home cooked meals :). God has brought us a long way in the almost 13 years we've been married and we can't wait to see what he will be doing next in our lives! | |
