Martinsville Ill | Good question, Just as you need a budget for the farm, so to do you need to know what is required in the home to operate. One thing that easy to over look at a young age is household needs. Much harder as your family grows. You should pay yourself first period. If the farm is not souly supporting you then time to look at possible combinations to solve the problem. Having said this I will also say the reverse can happen. The household could bleed the farm if livivng to high on the cheap hog. So that answer given previously is correct more info is need to know for sure, but really that will be up to you and there is not a hard fast answer. The reason I'm repling is that I have been in this situation. I couldn't understand why my family didn't like eating crackers. I wasn't paying into the household.
