E.Central MN | when corn went up last fall/winter it affected feeder prices, but then fats increased and feeders went back up. But early this summer the price of hay started going up and the price of hogs started coming down. That had as much to do with people cutting back as the price of corn. This latest bump may hit things harder, but if meat supplies and egg supplies decrease then the prices will increase down the road. I look at it as a return to a market where supply and demand are actually working compared to the last 5 years when it wasn't. | |
