Texas/New Mexico Stateline
If we had more consistent yields, I would have no problem putting down some numbers, looking at futures prices, planning purchases, etc. But if I had this beautiful plan all recorded on paper in summer 2010 where we were going to average "x" yield, and "x" futures price, and made purchase plans based on that, I'd look like a fool right now. Since we have had two 0 yield wheat crops back to back, and starting on the third 0 yield year right now.

I can't even plan on what crop insurance will look like after this year with the turmoil in DC. Short term I have a decent idea what cash flow will look like at least through the summer, but beyond that it all depends on weather.
