You said that in your first post, I assume you mean grain prices.
And, that is the rub. Land is a long term investment.
We buy based on what crop & input costs have done in the past 5 years.
We will make or break on what those incomes & expenses will be in the next 20 years tho.
It's all a guess.
Those who guess from strong $$$$ positions and proceed with some responsibility will likely weather wrong guesses & survive to make right ones.
Those who start off way out on a limb and not much thought will fail at the first wrong guess.
