Subject: Re: Peering through the market window

Yes I do...I have not traded livestock for quite some time with the exception of taking a flyer on a few March feeders the other day which I chaulked up as a loser and took my beating..As I am out of all markets at the moment & am going to spend a few days bringing more of my cattle details up to date. One of the key factors in beef is the trimmings market.....a feeder cattle upside seasonal begins around the first of February...but in view of grain prices don't know if seasonals will respond this year...the hog market has caught my interest as while the tonnage will be large & egg sets remain 4% above a year ago...this pork market chewed through a lot of tonnage this past quarter. When I get further along, I will make a more complete posting in regard to cattle...knowing it is strictly one person's opinion.
