I'm sure they have more accurate figures about how many cents worth of commodities are in each $1 worth of processed foods at the grocery market. As I recall, the last time corn increased to over $5 the cereal makers actually cut the price of cereal. I do get a kick out of all the hand wringing that tries to connect the price of #2 yellow corn and the price of tortillas and beer. Guess they'll just have to put an export tariff on tortillas and beer or the EU poor will starve. | |
