You must have been in Econ Class...........most people cant define the difference between DEMAND and QUANTITY DEMANDED like you can.
Couple of observations: DEMAND........CURVE has shifted, ie increase in DEMAND from BioFuels, a relatively "new" demand. Also the increase in food spending in the Orient, do you classify this as DEMAND or QUANTITY DEMANDED?? Am not sure myself.

Lots of other factors, ie Currency values, technology, world population, etc...........

I would like to believe we are in a new "higher era" of commodity prices, I am not yet convinced we are in a new "higher NET era" for commodity producers however. The fact that we import a big percentage of our inputs for commdity production scares the living HE^& out of me!!
