Cambridge, southwestern Nebraska | I don't know, I just have a feeling that corn and beans are going to keep moving up. Look what wheat did, Not only set new highs, it smashed them by $3.00. I just think corn and beans will do the same. If Elwyn Taylor is right about a drought this summer, prices will explode. I think there is going to be a lot of up movement even before a possible drought unfolds through this spring.
Downside to all of this is....another dollar up on corn, and ethanol and cattle feeders will surely start hurting which will eventually damage our long term demand. The cure for high prices are high prices. The higher we go, the harder the eventual fall will be. |
