Subject: RE: Who makes the best wheel bearing grease?

Nevada, Iowa
Ray-

I have been using the John Deere SD polyurea grease for most farm applications for some time now. When it was time to repack our Brent 640 wagons, I noticed that the polyurea had good marks for rolling loads and extreme pressure. Even though it seemed a bit thin for wheel applications, I decided to try it. I put the job off a little too long and 4 years went by before I repacked again. That was this past summer, tore all four wagons down and the grease looked very good. Most of it looked like the day it went in. Since the initial pack with the Brents, I have used it in many other wheel bearing applications and have been pleased with it's performance. Right now that's all I keep on hand except for a small supply of JD cornhead grease. Hope this helps.
