Hereford, TX | I would grow a High Oleic oilseed variety, but he said they would take either confection or oilseed and pay $28/cwt. I've also been talking to Colorado Mills in Lamar, Colorado. They haven't come out with a price for '13 yet, but I've got a cousin that has grown for them many years and says they are good for their money. I would have to haul my sunflowers 250 miles to Lamar vs. 35 miles to Red River Commodities. I just want to make sure that if I take my crop to Red River I'd get paid. | |
