I have to ask, why??? Why do all the work for a custom rate and let him make the profit?
Take the time you would spend on his ground and use that time to make your crops great. Slow down a little bit while planting, spraying and harvesting. Get your lime up, your K up so you get stronger plants and maybe look to add irrigation to YOUR land.
