S.C. Wisconsin
Sometimes the cows tell me things I just don't understand. Our cows are milking the best they have in a long time, probably pushing 100 lbs FCM. The thing that also puzzles me is the components have also been real good. This corn silage was on our heavy ground that went through some severe drought weather, but since it was planted later it was not pollinating , so the it yielded real good for grain but plant height was shorter than normal, I suspect making some real good corn silage. But on the other hand a person could not replicate this in the next 25 years! We still plan on planting some BMR though.
