 Kingston, Iowa | I used them for my basement and first floor. Had I more experience, I would have poured the gable ends on the 1/2 story as well. We did this on a later project. I appreciate them for the insulating factor, sound reduction and storm safety. They will be more expensive, especially if you live in an area where the subs are not used to working with them. I used wood window and door bucks so trim attachment wasn't an issue. For the baseboard, I left the sheetrock up 2 1/2 inches, and filled the gap with 1/2 inch plywood screwed to the plastic ties. That let me nail the trim on anywere I needed. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. | |
