Find a construction site that needs to get rid of topsoil. I did an experiment with my garden where I tilled in a load of leaf litter from a tree trimmer. It made a big difference in the water holding capacity, but it's too early to tell if it makes a difference in yields. Sure did grow a healthy crop of mushrooms for a few weeks.
Any way to fix sand???
