Subject: RE: canon 70-200 F/2.8 lens

SW Iowa
I have the canon 70-200 F 2.8 IS series II lens. I love mine for the reach and the large aperture. It really helps in low light along with the IS. It is quite heavy for a walk around lens. A nice shoulder strap from blackrapid helps. The series II is just the newest series IS. I hear it is better than the original but I have never used the older one. I assume the 4L you ask about is just the 70-200 F 4 lens. It’s said to be a great lens much lighter and cheaper. If you don’t need F2.8 it’s a good choice. The eagle picture was in terrible lighting and heavily cropped. Far enough away all you tell was, it was a eagle. I was amazed to capture it's eye from that distance.
