well we use to have a 25hp on a hammer mill that auger-ed up in to a 500bu bin and it shut off on it own when the bin was full. It took 45 mins to grind 10 tons and that's with a 1/8 screen. but we built a new dairy and moved to another farm. We thought we would make it better and faster. We got a 100hp motor on a hammer mill and blower. but it takes 1.5 hours to grind 10 tons with a 1/8 screen. I would like to speed it up and make it a nice, clean, safe system. I am open to all ideas. I dont care if its PTO or Electric. right now its in a pile but might put in a bin or bunk. It all depends on the grinder. I will get some pics up later.
