I've done it several times in the past. Never thought it hurt, if anythig you're picking up some cheap N, not enough to really make a diffeence. One benifit I did see when plowing with a snow cover is that stalks turned under better and never had a plugging issue. Like I said, this was years ago and was pulling a 14"plow.
Don't (moldboard) plow under snow? Anybody else heard this?
