 Frytown, Iowa | it would matter how your land lays out... the practices i would use would be on nicer laying ground i would use sidedress N and a two pass chemical... as these are "better" and there is no chance of crop being run over...
however there are fields that do not lay nice at all and after the corn is up there is a very good chance of running over far more corn than necessary because of sidehills, point rows, and contour rows that your sprayers rear wheels wont follow....
this is where stabil forms of N and full season chemicals would be better...
My opinion only...
if your ground lays nice then do what is best for the crop (give the nutrients and weed control as the field needs)... if your ground does not lay good at all then do what is best for the crop... (dont run it over and instead use tools that can possibly eliminate the second passes) |
