Well for starters the hood is about 8" narrower so you can see the bucket a lot better.     It burns a lot less fuel.    

The gear layout is better for loader work and the shift lever comes straight up above the transmission without any linkages so its easier to shift gears quickly.

That all pertains to the 2-85/2-105.        The 2-88/2-110 has the shift on the side so it has linkages but they still have a better gear layout for loader work than the bigger tractors.
