Subject: Low PH and wet soils

Corydon, IA

Is there any connection to soils being wet and PH? I have a couple fields that have test results in the mid to upper 5's. One is a nice flat 40 that is usually the last field in the county to be dry enough to work and the other is a flat on a grid sampled 56 acre field that tested low in one spot that is always wet. That particular field also has already had 3 tons of lime applied a year or two ago. I guess Im wondering if the wet soil lowers the PH or if the low PH can make the soil stay wet longer. The flat 40 is also real high on P compared to other ground I farm.
