Subject: Re: How much wheat in farmers hands

Anamoose, ND
Here too a lot of the wheat was sold in the 6 to 7 dollar range. My father in law is a elevator manager, all harvest he kept updating me on prices and I kept selling wheat as the market went up, only trouble is that I ran out of wheat and the market just kept going. I hauled all of Dec. delivery wheat in these last few weeks, at the elevator talking to the other growers you heard less about the great price on the board at $10+ and more about the "cheap wheat" we were delivering. I would say only 10-15% of the wheat is left to be sold. My view is that there is going to be a pile of wheat going in next year here with the idea that these prices are going to stay. I know my wheat acres are actually going to be down a little from 07.
