Warburg, AB | $12 a week? I don't believe in allowances. You both either learn to make do or somebody needs a better (paying) job. My wife and I spend money as we want, but also as we need, and we do alright. We don't save a whole lot but we do get fairly ahead on debt (vehicle financing, student loan, etc.), so that there are more savings in itself there.
I don't believe in allowances, because when work is good we can afford to go a little overboard. Inversely, when work is tight we really clamp down on misc. spending.
What's your allowance smilin jack? What do you do for a living and what does your wife do?
