North Liberty and South Bend, Indiana
We had an '02 Denali with the 6.0L (320 horse) and it was a fantastic engine. Plenty of power and decent mileage for an SUV, 14.1 lifetime hand calculated. Would get 17 mgp on the highway. Now have an '07 Denali XL with the 6.2L (403 horse) and it is a bit better engine so far. Plenty of power and a 14.7 lifetime average. Beleive me it is for sure 400 horse but the engineers defuel it from the get go to avoid twisting itself up. We averaged 19.1 mpg from northern IN to the Smokey Mts. and that included driving the mountains for a day straight. The 6 speed tranny my help the economy too.
