Subject: What's the oldest thing you can remember doing on the farm?

Northeast Nebraska

The thread about the hay fork tool used to put loose hay in the barn got me to thinking...

When I was 5, my dad and I helped my uncle harvest corn in the fall of 1968.  We picked it in the ear and I can remember hauling it to the corncrib in the wagon and standing in front of my dad on an old "A" John Deere.  It was an old wooden crib with an elevator up to the roof.  That farm place is gone now  like many others... but I could take you there and describe every building, where it was, etc.

I'm sure lots of you have older memories that would be neat to hear... thanks in advance!
