Colby, Kansas | Based on the symptoms you mention I would first check elevator speed sensor readout and continuity on the flow sensor cable and check that connection, both of these steps can be performed easily in the off season and could be a simple fix.
The raven system will never have the potential for accuracy that your current system has. A volumetric based system is completely reliant on test weight to get to a real number (lbs of grain) which is a problem, additionally, harvesting conditions which result in high amounts of MOG (material other than grain) passing through the clean grain system (eg. green sorghum leaves or soybean stems) will further deteriorate accuracy of the system. Slope used to be an issue, but I believe they try to compensate for that now with a slope sensor (somebody please correct me if I'm wrong).
Mass flow or force based systems have their problems, but they come much closer to measuring what we are interested in (lbs of grain) than the current volumetric methods.
