South Central Illinois | The equipment in the tractor I believe is the same as for traditional RTK with the addition of the modem to communicate with your cell service provider. There is a annual subscription fee to Trimble plus the data plan through the cell provider. Data plans can be purchased through Trimble but then they can only be used with the RTK system. I went through my cell provider so that in the off season I can use the data plan on my computer. Cost is comparable to other RTK systems. I do not need to have my own base station. | |
